2016 Summer Symposium - Ray Harwood

Day 1 - Friday

This year's major symposium was held July 22-24 at the Hilton Phoenix Airport hotel.

See all of Day 1's photos here.

Registration was steady-busy in the morning, made festive by the addition of some balloon decorations destined for the evening banquet.

In the evening, a Mardi Gras-themed banquet was held, with roulette and blackjack tables.  Even with "fake money", emotions were high, but in the end, everyone had a great time.

Friday Morning Registration

Some people seemed to have a little more fun than most, and one young fellow was totally not interested in the festivities, nor stirred by the occasional outbursts of joy.

There was a nice-looking array of food and a bar, complemented by artful displays enhancing the Mardi Gras ambiance.

Day 2 - Saturday

More on Day 2 coming soon!  Here's what we've got so far...

See Day 2 raw photos here.

Registration was perhaps a little less busy in the early morning, compared to Friday.

Saturday Morning Registration

The amphitheater-style conference room accommodated a nice size crowd for each class, including this discussion by Dr. Cornel Moga, Medical Examiner at Banner Tucson. His session on morgue and surgical pathology procedures was quite interesting.

The vendor tables were still set up from Friday.  Vendor staff started to trickle in early.
